Access from the Outside
The new TYPO3 web service - developed by naw.info - enables you to create, read, edit, and delete data in TYPO3 through an external application by using the extension "typo3 webservice".
The extension is available from the TYPO3 Extension Repository.

TYPO3 iPhone App
As one example of practical usage of the TYPO3 web service extension, naw.info developed an iPhone App that enables users to maintain TYPO3 news.
Please be advised that this application is considered a proof of concept. You are welcome to contribute for further developement! Please find the source code within the TYPO3 web servcie Forge project (see above).
Steps for installing the iPhone App
- Download your iPhone App "TYPO3" from the AppStore
- Install the TYPO3 extension "typo3_webservice"
- Create a backend user in TYPO3 to edit your news with
- Configure the TYPO3 that you want to access through the iPhone App
Try for yourself!
You can try out the iPhone App without installing the TYPO3 web service on your own server. We provide a try-out TYPO3 server that is ready to use with the iPhone App.
Please install the iPhone App "TYPO3" from the AppStore and start it. Then open the dialog "Add a new server" and enter the following data:
- Titel: naw.info Test Server
- URL: iphonedemo.naw.info/rpc/
- User Name: rpc
- Password: rpc
